Romain Semmel

Bio:

Romain is the CEO and Founder of Vertell Asset Managment, a real estate investement and asset management firm, specialised in the European hospitality sector.

Prior to founding Vertell, Romain was Director of Investments and a member of the Investment Committee at Pygmalion Capital Advisers, a London-based real estate investment firm specialised in European hospitality. Prior joining Pygmalion, he was Senior Vice President for European Transactions and Head of France at JLL, where he executed multiple landmark hotel transactions across Europe. With more than 10 years of experience in the real estate sector, Romain has participated in transactions, acquisitions, asset management, and refinancing of hotel-related assets worth ca. €3B across EMEA.

He also successfully led the acquisition, management, renovation, and repositioning of the Arenas Portfolio in Switzerland, creating the mountain resort lifestyle hotel brand Faern Resorts and establishing Vertell as a recognised specialist in the mountain resort sector.
